Jon joined Fundriver seven years ago, currently managing the Inbound Support team at Fundriver. He and his team are responsible for providing answers to software functionality inquiries and helping clients effectively use the software for the varying aspects of endowment accounting and management. Jon enjoys the challenges of this position as endowment accounting involves variability and complexity, keeping his brain in good shape.
I love working through such a broad spectrum of issues with our clients – including spending distributions, investment allocations, and reconciliation issues. It is wonderful to be able to help give them a better understanding of how to use the software and to move forward when they are stuck.
In addition to his Accounting degree, Jon also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. Prior to Fundriver Jon worked in both public accounting and higher education. While working at a University, he was charged with the day-to-day accounting related to the endowment funds and assisted with their own implementation of Fundriver. Helping the University implement Fundriver and move away from using spreadsheets to track their funds has allowed Jon to better understand and relate to clients while providing support in his roles at Fundriver.
He shares that Fundriver is a great place to work because of the core values and culture. Over the years, Jon has learned that a good job is not just about doing something you enjoy, but is also one that has a healthy and vibrant culture. That is what makes going to work each day a positive experience for Jon!
Jon lives in the Pacific Northwest with his wife, but was born and raised in New England. This is the ideal backdrop for his favorite hobbies - hiking, camping and kayaking and the beauty of the mountains. The structure of Fundriver has allowed Jon to remain in the part of the country that his family loves.
